Reason #352 Why I Love This City
A temperatures reach towards 80 degrees today, I go get some crazy delicious Blue Bottle, and go sit on a bench on Hayes Green. I notice a group of like 20 or so middle aged gay men and two excited and happy children. These gay men have decorated Hayes Green with balloons, and popping champagne bottles celebrating - wait for it, wait for it - Mother's Day. They were blowing up balloons and giving them to all the children and mothers who were walking by. There was not a female amongst this group.

Only in San Francisco.

Blue Bottle Coffee is a tiny coffee kiosk in the garage of a woodworking shop in the alley behind my apartment which consistently gets the highest reviews, and has received several international awards declaring the best coffee in the world.

You haven't had coffee until you've had Blue Bottle. It's seriously da shit.

i'd actually be glad to send you some coffee beans - PM on myspace your address and i'll send it on over... although i've had the coffee beans at my friends house, and it's not the same, it's still pretty damn good, and this coffee is STRONG.

i get espresso. BUT their coffee is amazing - every cup is made fresh drip - i.e. every cup is made to order... i think their brazilian bean is their most popular... what iw ould do is just go to them and ask which one is the most popular or that most ppl like, and just buy that one.. .=)
